A brief visit to Portofino left me quite full. Dad was on a hunt for sole — the kind of fish he’s been looking for since we got to Italy. When he found a restaurant that served one, he happily got us a table.
While he and my nephew Luke got sole, I tried something that sounds new and, at the same time, palatable to me — valgranotti salsa gorgonzola.
I found it to be good, but it easily filled my stomach! Good thing I still had a bit of room to try another tiramisu.
I liked this one better than the one I had in Varenna. This was quite sweeter and I loved the cream!
While my family got more gelato in Santa Margherita Ligure on the way back to the train station, I seriously couldn’t eat anything more.
I’m so stuffed! This trip has truly been gastronomic. Thankful for the scrumptious treats!
